INVEST IN EDUCATION
The primary program of the Petaluma Educational Foundation is the PEF Grant Program, available to every K-12 school in the Petaluma area. Since 1983, PEF has given over $1,315,988 to teachers and administrators to fund projects not covered in the school budget. Our emphasis is to encourage excellence in the classroom through innovation.
The majority of funding for PEF Grants comes through our annual "Invest in Education" Campaign. Individuals, businesses and community service organizations are encouraged to support education in Petaluma through a donation of any size. Donors may select the Area of Focus to meet their interests.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND ENDOWMENTS
Individuals and businesses fund scholarships managed through PEF. We currently manage 50 Scholarship Programs, with annual rewards exceeding $200,000.
HONOR A TEACHER - Past or Present (click here)
Of all the expressions of appreciation and thanks that teachers get, the most important comes from students and parents. That is the reason that we are asking you to join us in celebrating National Teachers Week in May, 2009as we recognize outstanding educators past or present. Honor a favorite teacher you always remember or someone that makes a difference in your child's life today. A list of those honored will be published in the Petaluma Argus-Courier at the end of May, and posted with your comments on this site.

Undesignated donations of any amount are gratefully accepted throughout the year.
DONOR PROGRAM

Alphabet Soup Benefit Thrift Store in downtown Petaluma needs donations and volunteers. 100% of proceeds benefit the Petaluma Educational Foundation.
